Jan is an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, an Internationally Accredited Journey Practitioner (having trained with Brandon Bays for some 15 months). She has undertaken tertiary studies in Human Resources and worked in that field for many years, particularly enjoying the personal development aspects of her role. Her work experience has also included being a Case Manager with the long term unemployed, working within the Human Resources area, as well as in Counselling, and Training and Development. Jan has been the Area Governor for Central South Australia in Toastmasters International, where she learnt many techniques in presentation and evaluation. She is also a Master Freemason, within the Co-Mason Lodge in Adelaide.

She is a Nationally Accredited Trainer and Assessor (Level 4), and uses these skills to develop spiritual courses covering many different aspects of spiritual and energy work. She has developed many programmes and runs courses and workshops in Modbury Heights (previously in Williamstown), as well as interstate and overseas. She also conducts private sessions, as required. Courses include Reiki, Pranic Crystal Healing, Hand Analysis (Palmistry), the Ancient Ba'gua, Atlantean Reiki, The Transformation Game, and a special full day workshop or two day retreat just for women called The Circle of Stones.

In May, 2007 Jan studied levels 1, 2 and 3 of The Reconnection with Eric Pearl.  This is an amazing new kind of vibrational healing that Jan is really excited about it.  It allows for our actual DNA to be cleared and "reconnected" to it's original status.  It's an amazingly healing experience to have a Reconnective healing - and even more so to have The Reconnection!

Many organisations are supported by Jan, including Red Cross, Tibetan Support Group (she supports a teenage student refugee from Tibet, living in Northern India), Nature Foundation SA, RSPCA, Humane Society International, Heart Foundation, WSPA, and VIP Inc., to name a few. She is currently writing a book about hand analysis, entitled "Messages in your Hands". She has also recorded three guided meditation CDs.

Jan has been married for over 40 years and has a son and a daughter plus seven grandchildren - six handsome, adventurous grandsons and one beautiful, intelligent grand daughter. She conducts spiritual and personal development classes/workshops as well as private sessions in Modbury Heights and other places by arrangement.

She lived for some years in Norway (her husband, Leif, was born there) and she speaks fluent Norwegian.  For some years she has been travelling to Norway to conduct courses and to do palm readings (hand analysis). Her work in Norway was originally co-ordinated through Kari, who has become a dear friend and Spiritual Sister who has deeply enriched Jan's life.  Through her work Jan has also met a twin soul in Gerd from Altar in the north of Norway.  These two women are truly earth angels, and Jan believes that she is incredibly blessed to call them friends. She has met and befriended many people in Norway, and feels it is her home away from home.  She now works, and has regular clients, in Brønnøysund, Lillehammer, Snertingdal and Oslo.  In May 2012, she will be working for the first time in Maki-stasjonen in Gjøvik. 

In 2000 Jan and Leif went on a spiritual journey to Devizes in Wiltshire, England, where Jan's Mother was born in 1909.  They explored Devizes thoroughly, discovering many of the places her Mother had spoken of from her childhood.  They visited Stonehenge and Avebury, as well as the many ancient barrows, white horse sites and crop circle sites.  They went to Glastonbury in Somerset and visited the Chalice Well Gardens - a place that had a profound affect on both Jan and Leif.  When they developed the films on returning to Australia, these two amazing photos were amongst them - the photos were taken in the middle of the film, and no other photos were affected, hence the effect is not caused from light getting into the camera.  There seems to be an amazing orange Light Being next to Jan - which appears to have a head and shoulders - and light seems to be streaming down over Jan's hair!  There is an orange/red outline of what seems like Christ holding a chalice next to Leif - this in reality seems to be an ordinary small waterfall flowing over cream coloured bricks.

Jan is a member of Reiki Australia, a National body concerned with standards and getting Reiki accredited. She is a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher and has been working with this beautiful hands-on healing energy since March, 1994. She teaches all Degrees of Reiki, both in Australia and in Norway.  She has spent some time in Master Circles with the Grand Master of the Usui system of Reiki (Phyllis Lei Furumoto).  She is also a member of The Journey Practitioners Association.  

In March, 2007 she worked with The Journey in Hong Kong.  Since October 2000 she  has worked in Norway once or twice a year, with her Reiki, Palmistry, The journey and other modalities.    This photo was taken of the midnight sun, at about 2.30 am in Brønnøysund, in the north of Norway in June, 2009.  The sun just came down and sat on the horizon, and then rose again.  Amazing, beautiful  and quite eerie.

She loves her home and is passionate about caring for the environment.  She feels a deep gratitude, a sense of peace and reverence, as well as a connection to the Earth Mother when walking on her land in Williamstown - but more lately in her garden in suburban Adelaide - she is a bit of a Druid, and has studied with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids from the UK.

She loves her life, her family, her home, and her planet.   She also loves her work - in fact, to Jan it really isn't work, it is her life and her passion and helps to make her life exactly how life needs to be!
